CELEBRATING 20 YEARS:
Tampa Bay Academy continues to celebrate its 20 years of service in the mental health care field for children and adolescents. “The new slogan created by the employee slogan contest truly embodies the spirit of Tampa Bay Academy”, says Steve Albrecht, Executive Director. “20 Years of Helping Children Build a Better Future”. According to Steve, “we touch the lives of 180-195 mentally ill and behaviorally challenged boys and girls from 7 years old to 17 years old on a daily basis. I am extremely proud of the outcomes of those that have received treatment in our residential, group home, and charter school programs. It is truly a privilege to be a part of TBA.”
SEXUALLY MALADAPTIVE BEHAVIOR PROGRAM:
• Males (Ages 12 – 17)
• Licensed and License Eligible Therapists specializing in Sexually Maladaptive Behaviors
• Residential/SIPP and Group/TGH levels of care.
The goal of the Tampa Bay Academy treatment facility is to break the vicious cycle of victimization by offering an environment that is based on a Cognitive Behavioral approach with ever present unconditional positive regard. It is our belief that adolescents who have demonstrated sexually maladaptive behaviors can be treated and reintegrated back into the community functioning as healthy and productive individuals. Tampa Bay Academy is focused on a continuum of care to ensure a smooth transition back into the community by providing intensive residential treatment and group home level of care.
